As one of Wiltshire's leading newborn and baby photographers, I am experienced in guiding new parents in choosing complementary colours for their session. Many love blue for a boy or pink for a girl but I encourage them to also think about where they will display their finished artwork and the colours that will work well in their home.
I absolutely love the bold colours Baby E's mummy and daddy settled on for their newborn photography session. It's a beautiful combination of baby boy blues with warm neutrals and bold yellows.
Baby E was a little star for his session so it seemed fitting to capture him with this sweet gold velvet heart.
When it comes to choosing fabrics, I love soft knits and interesting textures which give character to your finished art work and complement a baby's delicate skin.

The bucket pose is one of my client's favourites and I create this kind of image in most sessions. Because this was an autumn newborn session, we chose some warm orange and gold tones with cute pumpkins as a nod to his birthday near Halloween.
This is one of my favourite colours for photographing newborns! This beautiful golden yellow is perfect for both boys and girls and suits almost every skin tone.
As we progressed through his session we continued the golden autumn colour scheme with some sweet images on my tiny bed prop. He loved to grab his toes!
Towards the end of his session we brought in this beautiful shade of deep blue which is just the perfect hue! And of course, I captured his tiny toes poking out of the wrap. Details are so important to capture - it's the little things about your newborn that you will want to remember.
Our final set of images from his session were shot on a beautiful neutral backdrop, perfect for displaying anywhere. Isn't he adorable?!
