Maternity Photography

Maternity Sessions are all about capturing the excitement and anticipation of your pregnancy. For most mothers, they will experience it only once, twice, three times during their lifetime. Pregnancy is a unique time, when your body is undergoing amazing changes to enable you to grow a new human being - that deserves to be captured, documented and celebrated!

Our pregnancy photography is clean and simple. Each session includes our natural studio set, pure white studio and monochrome images.

Maternity Photography Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my Maternty Session?

The ideal time to capture beautiful images of your pregnancy is between 29 and 36 weeks. This is the stage in your pregnancy when you are most likely to feel at your best and maybe even glow a little! By this point you will most likely have a nicely defined bump and not yest be experiencing the uncomfortableness which can happen nearer your due date. Every mummy is different however, so timings are entirely flexible.

What should I bring to my Maternity Session?

When you book a Maternity Session I will send you a comprehensive Session Guide with a checklist of essentials to bring to your session. I have a collection of beautiful and flattering maternity gowns available for you to use during your session, which suit most body types I also suggest you bring one or two outfits of your own - something casual such as jeans and a shirt and a maternity dress. This is not essential however, as we can use the gowns for your entire session if you wish. Underwear is important for a Maternity Session so ideally I suggest you bring a set of white, black and nude.

Can my partner and children be included in a Maternity Session?

Yes! Partners and siblings are very welcome to be included in your session. These are some of my most loved images so why not get everyone involved!

Can I get my hair and make-up done beforehand?

Some clients choose to have a professional hair and make-up session before their Maternity shoot. I have a range of local hair and make-up studios that I can recommend on request.

Does the session include naked or semi-naked images?

Semi-naked or naked images are part of my session flow and can be included or not as you choose. These images are created in a tasteful way using light and shadows to highlight your curves and bump and also to hide other areas of your body. How you feel about this is always part of our pre-session consultation.

How much does a pregnancy session cost?

Our Maternity session fee is £75. This includes a 1 hour studio session, use of our studio wardrobe and hand-editing of around 15-20 images for you to view. Within a week of your session your images will be available to view via a private online gallery from where you will be able to choose your image collection and printed products. Image collections including digital images and matching prints start from £195.
