Why Book a Pregnancy Photoshoot?
Maternity Photo Shoots in my Salisbury studio are all about capturing the excitement and anticipation of your pregnancy.
For most mothers, they will experience pregnancy only once, twice, maybe three times during their lifetime. Your pregnancy is a unique time, when your body is undergoing amazing changes to enable you to grow an actual new human being - that deserves to be captured, documented and celebrated!
Maternity photo shoots take place in our Wiltshire studio, near Salisbury and include our full maternity wardrobe to choose from. The style of our pregnancy photography is clean, simple and timeless. I believe that your beautiful bump doesn't need to be accessorised with frills, ruffles and flounces! Sheer fabrics, body hugging gowns and a simple colour palette ensures that your maternity photographs are all about you and the miracle of your growing baby.
As photographer who specialises in maternity photography I create stunning, simple images that flatter your growing bump and highlight your natural beauty. With over 8 years experience photographing maternity sessions, our mission is that you leave the studio feeling like a goddess - you deserve nothing less!
Where do our Maternity Sessions Take Place?
Our minimalist photography studio in Salisbury, Wiltshire provides the perfect, relaxed and intimate environment for your maternity photoshoot. Our studio wardrobe is stocked with simple, elegant maternity gowns and body suits which can be included in your session and professional hair and makeup is also available if you would like a little extra pampering before your session.
When is the best time for a Maternity Photoshoot?
The ideal time to capture beautiful images of your pregnancy is between 29 and 36 weeks. This is the stage in your pregnancy when you are most likely to feel at your best and maybe even glow a little! By this point you will most likely have a nicely defined bump and not yet be experiencing the discomfort which can occur nearer to your due date.
Every pregnancy is different however, so when you book we'll chat and arrange a date that suits you best.
What Maternity Packages can I choose from?

Signature Maternity Session £499
Our Signature Maternity package is a bespoke pregnancy photography experience which includes partner and sibling images, as well as four different looks/ outfit changes.
You'll spend an hour in the studio and have full use of our studio wardrobe including beautiful fabrics, dresses and bodysuits. For an extra special experience, add professional hair and makeup to your session and you'll be pampered in the studio by our HMUA before your shoot.
After your session you will receive your choice of 10 beautifully edited high resolution files included in your package and chosen from a finished gallery of around 20 images.
There is the option to purchase additional digital files and printed products including albums, prints and wall art.
Petite Maternity Session £299
Our Petite Maternity package is a shorter photoshoot for the mummy-to-be only and including two unique looks/ outfit changes.
You'll spend 30 minutes in the studio and will have full choice from our studio wardrobe. For an extra special experience, add professional hair and makeup to your session and you'll be pampered in the studio by our HMUA before your shoot.
After your session you will receive your favourite 5 beautifully edited high resolution images included in your package and chosen from a finished gallery of around 10 images. There is the option to purchase additional digital files and printed products including albums, prints and wall art.

How do I book my Maternity Photoshoot?

I recommend booking your maternity photoshoot a month or so in advance if possible, to ensure availability for a session when you are around 7-8 months pregnant. Many clients choose to book at around the same time as their 20 week anomaly scan. However, finding the right maternity (and newborn photographer) can take a while, so it's a great idea to start looking as early as you are able to.
Get in touch via our contact form or call and I'll be delighted to send you a brochure and all the details to help you make the right choice for your family. Once you've decided that you would like to book, your Maternity Session deposit can be paid online to confirm your booking with the balance due on the day of your session.
We'll arrange a convenient date and if you are adding hair and make up to your session, I'll liaise with Shannon Belle Hair and Beauty to book that too.
What Happens After Your Maternity Photoshoot?
Within 2 weeks of your maternity photo shoot, you'll return to the studio in Salisbury (or we'll meet via Zoom) to view your beautifully edited image gallery and you'll choose the high resolution digital files included in your Maternity Package. Our all inclusive maternity photography collections include a set number of digital files in your package. If you would like to choose additional digital files, prints, albums or wall art, this can also be done at your ordering appointment.
Most maternity clients also return to the studio in Salisbury with their newborn baby for a newborn photo shoot. It's wonderful to see parents again with their brand new bundle of joy! Find out more about out Bump to Baby Offer.

Can I Have Professional Hair and Makeup Done at the studio?
Yes! Your Maternity Photoshoot is the perfect opportunity to pamper yourself with professional hair and makeup to help you feel amazing. To save you having to visit a salon before your session, our wonderful HMUA Shannon from Shannon Belle Hair and Makeup Design is available to create a beautiful look for you. Whether you choose natural or soft glam, Shannon will ensure that you look and feel the best version of you! If you would like to add hair and makeup to your session, just let me know when you book so that I can co-ordinate your session date with Shannon.
Can Partners and siblings be included in the maternity session?
There is something incredibly special about including a partner and/ or older siblings in your pregnancy photographs. You are all look forward to welcoming a new baby into your family after all, and for many clients this is an important part of the experience. That's why our Signature Maternity Sessions allow the extra time needed to create some truly stunning family images for your gallery.
Equally, other mummies to be decide that the session will be an intimate experience just for them and an amazing window of 'me time' before their baby arrives. If that's you, then a shorter Petite Maternity Session may suit you better.
Do I have to pose nude?
No, not at all! Maternity photography is an incredibly personal and intimate experience. While some women choose to include nude or semi-nude images in their maternity photo sessions, it is entirely up to the individual and their comfort level. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident during your session and that you love the final images. As a photographer, my priority is to create a relaxed and supportive environment that allows you to feel at ease and showcase your unique beauty. Whatever your preferences may be, I am here to help you capture this special time in your life in a way that is authentic and meaningful to you.
What Should I Wear For My Maternity Photoshoot?
We provide a client wardrobe of maternity dresses, body suits and fabrics which suit my minimalist style. It is incredibly popular and makes planning for your maternity photoshoot so much easier! However many clients also choose to bring one outfit of their own, for example a dress or jeans for some more casual images as well. The most important thing I ask my maternity clients to bring is underwear. The right underwear can make a huge difference to your pregnancy images, so it's worth investing in something you feel amazing in!
Do offer a Bump to Baby Package?
Yes of course! I love it when I get to meeting the little person on the inside of your beautiful bump. While you are looking at Maternity photographers don't forget to be really organised and book your Newborn Session too.
Once your baby arrives life will be incredibly busy so it makes sense to have your Newborn Photoshoot booked in advance - it's one less thing to think about! It's also lovely that we have already met each other and you know your way around our Wiltshire studio before bringing your baby here. Our Bump to Baby package covers both your Maternity package deposit and your Newborn Session fee at a discounted rate and ensures that you have a space in my diary for when your baby arrives.
