Our Covid-19 Policy to keep you safe

I am delighted to be able to re-open the studio for sessions from Saturday 20th June. It has been a long few months and I have missed welcoming families and babies to the studio for their photo shoots enormously.

Government guidance has allowed photography studios to re-open this month, providing they comply with the current guidance on social distancing and hygiene measures to keep clients and photographers safe. As a specialist newborn and baby photographer, I already have stringent cleaning and hygiene procedures in place to keep my tiny clients safe. A newborn baby's immune system is not yet fully developed, nor have they had their vaccinations, so a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness have always been a top priority for me.

Due to the current pandemic, I have put in place additional measures above and beyond what I already have in place to keep everyone safe when visiting the studio. Unlike shops, the footfall in my studio is minimal - I usually only photograph around 2-5 families per week and all sessions are by prior appointment only. As part of the increased safety measures at the moment, I will allow at least 48 hours between studio sessions for deep cleaning and quarantining props, so this will limit availability to less than 4 sessions per week. Early booking is recommended!

If I, or anyone I have been in contact with feel unwell or have symptoms including but not limited to a cough, sickness, temperature or loss of taste or smell I will notify you and re-schedule your session. I will also notify you if I become unwell within a 7 day time-frame following your session.

Cleaning:

  • The studio will be deep cleaned after each session with bleach and Delphis disinfectant, used on all hard surfaces. Soft furnishings will be sterilised with fabric spray and all high touch areas thoroughly disinfected e.g. door handles etc.

  • I will disinfect my camera and other equipment between sessions.

  • Al fabrics will be machine washed between sessions. Non-washable or delicate items will be quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours after use.

Additional protection:

  • I will wear a mask and gloves for your session. Disposable masks and gloves are available for you to use while in the studio.

  • I will maintain the 2 metre social distancing requirement whenever possible and ask that you do the same.

  • Sessions will be shorter to reduce the time you spend in the studio

  • The studio doors will be opened as much as possible and air conditioning used.

  • I will use 70% alcohol hand sanitiser frequently during your session and ask that you do the same (sanitiser is provided for your use).

Other precautions:

  • If you or anyone you have been in contact with feels unwell or has symptoms such as a cough, temperature or loss of taste or smell prior to your session, please DO NOT come to the studio. Your session will be rescheduled for a later date.

  • I ask that you only bring the immediate family members to be photographed to your session.

  • Please do not bring additional items from home into the studio e.g. toys

  • I will not be providing drinks in the studio at this time but feel free to bring your own.

  • Please take all rubbish away with you.

I can't wait to photograph beautiful babies and families in the studio again! I am confident that these measures fully minimise any risk to you and your family as well as to myself as the photographer. While it may be a different way of working at the moment, these additional measures enable me to capture beautiful photographs of your baby safely during this difficult time.
