As one of Wiltshire's leading maternity and newborn baby photographers, I am always happy to advise about the styling for your session. Our White Onesie sessions make use of the pure and timeless backdrop of our white studio in Salisbury to create beautiful portraits of your family that will stand the test of time. For these sessions I recommend parents and siblings were white, cream or light neutral colours, especially on their top half. Avoid busy prints or logos, but subtle patterns and textures can work well, just like on the shirt dad chose for this session. Babies wear a classic white onesie vest either with or without sleeves.
This simple but effective styling helps to create a seamless, monochrome look in which all the focus of our photography is on your baby and their connection with you.
It's also a great style of session to capture your baby's sweet range of expressions - those sweet and funny faces that only newborns can pull!
During your newborn session we'll capture your baby with both parents individually and together. Having photographed hundreds of newborn babies I know exactly how to ensure that your session flows smoothly, making small changes to how your baby is positioned to create a beautiful, varied gallery that perfectly captures your new little family.
White Onesie sessions are perfect for capturing those tiny newborn details that you'll want to remember forever. I love these images edited in black and white - perfect for a wall art gallery or multi-aperture frame.
If your baby is wake for part of the session, we'll keep shooting to capture those wide-eyed interactions as your baby seeks out your face. For these images I'll bring you in close to your baby so that they can focus on your face - your baby can only see a short distance at this age.
As well as the white onesie, I'll often use fabric wraps and blankets to keep your baby cosy and calm, particularly if they are awake.
This encourages your baby to drift back off to sleep and is perfect for cosy, cuddly images.

All sessions take place in our cosy studio in the beautiful Wiltshire village of Stratford sub Castle, near Salisbury. Newborn Sessions are ideally scheduled for within the first 2 weeks, so advance booking is recommended.
