Romsey Cake Smash Photographer - Floral Cake Smash Photo Shoot for Baby F

I first met sweet Baby F and her parents who they booked a virtual newborn session during the January 2021 lockdown her in the UK. Although they were local to my Salisbury studio, mixing between households was against the rules and photography studios were closed.

How things have changed, thank goodness! It was amazing to be able to photographer her in person this time to celebrate her special 1st birthday in January 2022.

Baby F's parents chose a beautiful yet simple floral theme for her cake smash photo shoot. The pretty peach and pink tones suited her perfectly!

We added some twinkle lights in the background for added sparkle, because who doesn't need a little sparkle in their life! Her parents found the most perfect peach dress which looked like it was made to match the set.

I can't not mention those stunning big blue eyes!

We had lots of fun playing peek-a-boo and sitting/ climbing on some props before we introduced her to the cake. It's a great chance to let little ones warm up in a gentle way.

As always, the cake made by the wonderful Sharon at Sugar Wish Cakes was both beautiful and delicious!

Once Baby F was given her cake there was no stopping her! She really enjoyed licking the icing off her fingers and scooping up handfuls of cake.

She even managed to eat some with her toes.

101 different ways to eat your birthday cake!

What I love about cake smash sessions is the opportunity to capture so many different expressions while your baby explores their cake. It's a wonderful sensory experience and something completely new!

Mummy and Daddy popped onto the set to try some cake and to capture a few behind the scenes images. Luckily Baby F was happy to share!

We finished the smash part of the session with cake everywhere, including on her head! What a wonderful image to remember such a special day. Then it was straight in the bubble bath to wash off all that sticky icing.

Baby F really enjoyed the bath to with lots of splashing in the bubbles. It's such a relaxing way to finish your little one's cake smash session and it means that they are clean to dress and take home.

Time to dry off and go home for a nap I think!
